託福詞彙之與動物有關的俚語
chicken 膽小鬼
中文裏說一個人膽小會說膽小如鼠，而英文用膽小如“雞”。
比如：chicken可以做動詞：
Jim chickened before the fight started.
譯爲Jim在幹仗之前就害怕了。
Alex was too chicken to come with us to the stripe club.
Alex太膽小了而不願意跟我們一起去脫衣服俱樂部。
weasel: 有臭鼬的意思，一看就不是什麼好詞兒。通常指靠不住的人，比較狡詐的人。 weasel第二個詞性是動詞，譯爲狡辯推諉。比如：
I just paid the down payment and the landlord is trying to weasel out.
我已經交了定金了但是我的房東在嘗試推諉(不願意租給我房子)。
bear: 熊，也有很難同時讓人討厭的意思。 比如考試等。
The exam was a bear.
這個考試太難了，很討厭。
turkey: 不成功的劇(電影、話劇等等)
The movie is a real turkey.
這個電影就是個失敗。
skunk: 也有臭鼬的意思，同時有討厭的人， 卑鄙的人的意思。有趣的是大麻也有一股臭鼬的味道，而且越臭等級也會越高。所以買到商品的A貨也可以說，It really smells like skunk.
引申義：He is a real skunk. 他是一個卑鄙的人。
big fish：很重要的人
He is a big fish in the company.
他在公司是一個很重要的人。
Pig: 豬豬
1. 能吃的人 Don't be such a pig.
2. 警察 We got pulled over by a fucking pig.
註解：特別是美國大學生比較瞧不起警察這個職業，原因很簡單大學生容易凡事兒，比如酒駕、沒有到21歲去不了酒吧然後就辦假ID, 他們經常被警察抓，當然就看不起警察啦。
3. 歧視別人的人(性別、種族)She was really a pig to him.
