歐盟反壟斷大棒再次揮向谷歌公司

The European Commission has stepped up pressure on Google, alleging that it abused its dominance in internet shopping and restricted competition. It also accused Google of stopping websites from showing adverts from the search engine's competitors.

日前，歐洲委員會進一步向谷歌公司施壓，指控其濫用在互聯網購物領域的優勢地位，並限制競爭對手開展業務。該委員會還指責谷歌公司在網站上屏蔽其搜索引擎競爭對手的廣告。

And it strengthened an existing charge that Google favours its own comparison shopping services in search results.

此外，歐委會還加大了現存指控的力度，稱谷歌在搜索結果中總是優先顯示經過篩選的購物商。

EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said Google had no right to limit its rivals.

歐盟競爭委員會的瑪格麗特·韋斯塔格表示，谷歌公司沒有任何權力阻礙其競爭對手開展業務。

She said: "Google has come up with many innovative products that have made a difference to our lives. But that doesn't give Google the right to deny other companies the chance to compete and innovate."

她表示：“谷歌公司帶來了許多富有創意的產品，改變了人們的生活。然而這並不意味着谷歌具有剝奪其他公司進行競爭和創新的權力。”

Google is already facing formal anti-trust charges. The US company is accused of placing onerous requirements on firms using Android and stifling competition.

谷歌現在已經面臨正式的反壟斷指控。這家美國公司被指控稱對使用安卓操作系統的公司提出了苛刻的要求，並且抑制競爭行爲。

A spokesperson for Google said: "We believe that our innovations and product improvements have increased choice for European consumers and promote competition. We'll examine the Commission's renewed cases and provide a detailed response in the coming weeks."
