The table above clearly reflects the statistics of traffic accidents happening in a Chinese city. According to the table, in 2005, the traffic accidents in the Chinese city still failed to arouse concerns of both drivers and pedestrians。
The number of accidents that resulted from drivers turning left without due care increased 10 percent to 608, which is highlighted on the first row of the table. Accidents related drivers driving under the influence of alcohol enjoyed the greatest rise, a 15 percent rise. In comparison, those pedestrians who cross roads carelessly also led to 401 accidents. By analyzing these factors displayed in the diagram, we may draw the conclusion that both drivers and pedestrians have little respect for traffic regulations。

The Increase in the Number of Chinese Traveling Abroad
As can be clearly observed from the chart above, the trend of Chinese traveling abroad is going up these years. In the past three years, the number of Chinese traveling abroad was on a steady rise. According to the chart, the number increased from 7.5 million in 1999 to 10 in 2000 and to 12.1 million in 2001.
I assume that there are at least three main/primary/fundamental reasons/causes/factors accounting for the above mentioned changes. First and foremost, the changes are primarily concerned with the income of Chinese. They are better off and can afford to travel abroad. What’s more, they have a lot to do with the development of the travel industry in China.
