【分析】

一、 no longer與no more的意義區別

1. no longer中的longer是副詞long的比較級，long有after a certain point of time(在某一時刻以後)之意，着重表示時間的不再延續，意爲“如今不再”。no longer等於not... any longer。

2. no more中的more是many / much的比較級，more有again之意，着重表示數量或程度的減少，意爲“再也沒有更多(大)的數量(程度)”。no more等於not... any more。

二、時態區別

1. no longer / not... any longer表示不再繼續或再現過去某一時刻發生或存在而一直延續的動作 / 狀態時，常用於過去時、現在時或將來時的句子中。如：

He was no longer a thief. 他不再是小偷了。

When there is no gravity, our feet no longer stay on the ground. 如果沒有重力，我們的腳就不能再站穩在地面上。

2. no more / not... any more表示再也不重複過去反覆發生的動作時，常用於過去時或將來時的句子中。如：

Now she wasn't afraid any more. 現在她再也不害怕了。

三、位置區別

當修飾動詞時，no longer通常置於be或行爲動詞前;no more一般置於行爲動詞後。not... any longer與not... any more常置於句末。如：

She could no longer find a way to get into the valley. 她再也找不到進山谷的路了。

Time or opportunity lost will return no more. 機不可失，時不再來。

四、修飾動詞區別

1. no longer / not... any longer 習慣用來修飾表示狀態的持續動詞(如wait, live, work等)。如：

Don't wait any longer. 別再等了。

She could not keep up with him any longer.她不能再趕上他了。

2. no more / not... any more通常用來修飾表示具體動作的瞬間動詞(如go, stand, visit等)。如：

We couldn't stand it any more. 我們不能再忍受了。

五、作用區別

兩者都可用來修飾動詞，在句中作狀語。當no more作“不再(有、存在)”解時，還可作定語和賓語。如：

Later when they are far away from the earth and there is no more gravity, they find they are unable to stay in one place. 過後，當他們遠離地球，到了不再有地球引力的地方時，他們發現自己不可能停留在一個地方不動。(作定語)

I have no more to say. 我沒有什麼要說的了。(作賓語)

綜上所述，考例1應選D不選B。考例2應選D。A項中的not... any more位置不對，B項中的not... any longer位置也不對。且A和C項中的not... any more通常不修飾謂語動詞work。
