【內容簡介】

《獨立日》是美國一部科幻片，於1996年7月3日上映（美國獨立日前一天），由羅蘭·艾默裡奇執導，威爾·史密斯、比爾·普爾曼和傑夫·高布倫等聯袂出演，影片講述了當人們正準備熱烈慶祝七月四日國慶日之時，一艘巨型的外星人母船進入地球軌道，並釋放了三十多個小型飛船進入地球大氣層，停留在世界幾大城市上空，使人們極度恐慌。最終，在總統的鼓舞和帶領下，人們共同阻止了外星人入侵，捍衛了地球。

The president: Good morning. In less than an hour, aircrafts from here will join others from around the world and you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. Mankind, that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united by our common interest.
