1. It is two years since I smoked.
誤：我抽菸已經兩年了。
正：我戒菸已經兩年了。
析：在“ It is +時間段+ since 從句”中，若表示時間的 since 從句中的謂語動詞是持續性動詞，則這個時間段是從這個持續性動作結束時算起。如： It is ten years since she was here. 她不在這裏已經十年了。
2. All of us are not for the plan.
誤：我們大家都不贊成這個計劃。
正：並非我們大家都贊成這個計劃。
析： all/both/everything 等用於否定結構時不表示全部否定，而表示部分否定。如： Not both of them are right. (並非他們兩人都是對的。)又如： She doesn't like everything here. (她並非喜歡這裏的一切。)
3. We can't be too careful in doing such experiments.

析：“ not A and B ”表示“不是 A 而是 B ”。“ not A or B ”表示“不是 A 也不是 B ”。比較： He isn't a farmer or a worker. (他不是個農民也不是個工人。)
7. She is no musician.

正：她不懂音樂。
