在in spite of 和despite後面，我們用名詞和代詞。

如果句子裏包含了the fact that，我們可以用 in spite of 和despite跟”主語和動詞"的結構。

• In spite of the fact that he worked very hard, he didn’t manage to pass the exam.

• Despite the fact that he worked very hard, he didn’t manage to pass the exam.

Despite of the pain in his leg he completed the marathon.

In spite of that he worked.....
