anything是指用以敘述可能存在或可能發生的一項事物或事件或用以敘述某一特定類別中的各項事物或事件; 主要用於疑問句、否定句或條件從句中代替something,意爲“任何東西,任何事情絕對不”。

anything也可用於肯定句,表示“無論什麼東西,隨便什麼事情”。

anything用作主語時,謂語動詞用單數形式，其代詞也用單數(it)。

anything不能置於否定詞前。

anything後可接介詞about或of。

形容詞或else等修飾anything等複合不定代詞時只能後置,不能前置。
