英國央行:退歐不確定性阻礙投資
Persistent uncertainty over the UK’s future relationship with the EU is holding back business investment and household spending, Mark Carney warned on Thursday, as the bank of England cut its growth forecasts and left interest rates unchanged.
英國央行(Bank of England)週四下調增長預測，同時維持利率不變。馬克?卡尼(Mark Carney)警告稱，英國與歐盟未來關係的持續不確定性正在阻礙商業投資和家庭支出。The central bank governor said the unpredictable nature of Brexit was weighing on supply and demand, with some companies already delaying decisions about entering new markets.
這位央行行長表示，退歐的不可預測特性正在拖累供需關係，一些公司已經推遲了關於進入新市場的決策。The bank expects investment in the UK economy to be 20 percentage points lower in 2020 than it had forecast before last year’s referendum on EU membership.
英國央行預計，相比它在去年退歐公投前作出的預測，2020年英國經濟中的投資水平將會低20個百分點。
The BoE also said in its inflation report that it had revised down its forecast for growth this year, from 1.9 per cent to 1.7 per cent.

Mr Carney nevertheless said interest rates were likely to rise further over the next two years than markets were forecasting.
不過卡尼表示，未來兩年期間利率升幅很可能會超出市場預期。He said that with unemployment at a 40-year low and the economy unlikely to be able to sustain pre-crisis levels of growth in the future, the trade-off facing members of the BoE’s Monetary Policy Committee was changing.

MPC members also voted unanimously to maintain the current level of gilt and corporate bond purchases.
