雅思考試一共分爲四個板塊，分別爲雅思聽力、雅思口語、雅思閱讀與雅思寫作。而在這四個板塊中，最令中國考生糾結與頭痛的莫過於雅思口語了。當然，雅思口語也是四個板塊中同學們平均得分最低的。

那麼，同學們或者教英語的老師們有反思過爲什麼中國考生的雅思口語成績那麼低嗎?當然如若同學們很簡單的認爲僅僅是英語是第二語言，所以口語差是理所應當，雅思口語考不好也是情理之中，那麼這個問題也就無從探討了。

當然，也會有部分同學認爲探討這個問題並沒有什麼必要，畢竟大多數同學都不準備考雅思，而且就算準備考雅思的同學，也是抱着爲了出國，不得不通過雅思考試，才臨時抱佛腳，準備起雅思口語考試，只要成績拿到手，那麼就要和雅思說“分手”，更別說“雅思口語”了。

這是很多準備考雅思或者是已經考完雅思同學的心態，而恰恰是這種心態，我們也可以稱之爲“應試心態”纔是導致中國考生雅思口語成績低的罪魁禍首。

什麼“應試心態”呢?簡而言之，就是所有的準備與努力都是爲了應付考試，至於學習知識，提高能力等等，根本不在同學們的考慮範圍內。這種心態難道僅僅只存在準備雅思考試中嗎?當然不是，君不見，中國衆多的大學生期末考試時的“突擊”以及準備英語四六級考試時的“刷題”都是這一心態的反映。

重新回到我們的主題來：爲什麼說應試心態是中國考生雅思口語成績低的罪魁禍首呢?

對於這個問題，我們剛好可以從雅思口語的四個評分標準(fluency，流利; vocabulary，詞彙; grammar，語法;pronunciation，發音)來說明。

詞彙(vocabulary)

中國考生在準備雅思口語的時候，很多同學都抱着這樣一種莫名的心態：即如果想要拿高分，就要用那些看起來很“高級”的詞彙。但是事實上，這恰恰是應試心態的一種體現。哪位同學平時閒着無聊回去瞭解那些高級詞彙的真正用法呢?只不過爲了應付雅思考試所以臨時學幾個看起來“高級”的詞，然後期望用到口語考試中，讓考官眼前一亮。

但事實上，同學們所臨時學來的“高級”詞彙往往會讓自己的分數偏低，爲什麼呢?換用一下漢語思維，假如同學被問到爲什麼喜歡冬天，同學們很樸實的答因爲冬天可以窩在家裏，然後開始間接的用上“銀裝素裹”、“玉樹瓊花”詞語描繪雪花的漂亮，同學們可以自我反思一下，是不是感覺很不協調?而這也是雅思考官的感受，更別說，有些同學語法錯亂，還用上這些“高級”詞，更加令考官斷定同學口語很差。

語法(grammar)

語法的話不用多提，應試心態盡在此中。很多同學爲什麼在考試之前就要多背一些標準的模板呢?正是因爲深知自己的英語語法是什麼水平，所以只能藉助那些網上已經被其他人檢驗過的模板，臨時的苦記硬背，才能應付這一場雅思口語考試。如果在考場上遇到考官問一些從來沒有準備過的口語題目，僅憑着同學們平日的語法積累，同學們的心態肯定是“炸裂”的。

發音(pronunciation)

發音和應試心態有關，更是正常不過。想一想同學們學了十幾年的英語，但是基本上都是紙筆考試，一直以來老師對同學們的發音都沒有要求，當然因爲沒有這相關的考試，同學們對自己的英語口音也沒啥要求，所以在準備雅思口語考試的時候，同學們把大部分的時間都花在了背語料上，至於發音，估計同學們更加沒有時間是考慮。從始至終，同學們都是抱着“應試心態”準備雅思口語考試的，而在發音這一塊，雅思口語考試會讓同學們在栽一個不小的跟頭。

流利(fluency)

流利包含兩個方面，一個是單個句子之間流利，而這需要同學們對略讀、連讀、失爆等技巧有所掌握;二是句子與句子之間流利，這個對同學們的要求更高，同學們如果能確保一個section完整的回答是流利的，那基本上能夠說明同學們平時也在英語上下了功夫，也就是沒有抱着“應試心態”。如果同學們僅僅是抱着應試心態準備雅思口語考試的話，相信很多同學都是磕磕絆絆的考完全場，畢竟從來沒有接受過這樣的訓練，太難爲人了!

歸根結底，同學們如果想要拿到雅思口語高分或者單純的希望提高自己的英語口語的話，應試心態真的不能有。它會從方方面面影響着同學，讓同學無法真正地把學習落到實處，只希望以最小的努力獲取最大的成功。但是這可能嗎?這是一個值得深思的問題。

Not really. I belong to the new generation who do not attach too much significance to our names. Names were important to the older generation as they are of the opinion that it will determine your destiny to some extent. No, I never read newspaper. I watch TV if I want to know what is happening in China and the world. It takes too much time to read newspapers. For example, the news on TV is short and to the point, and that’s all I want to know.
