託福口語考試的6部分口語考試共有6道題目，大約20分鐘。
前兩題要求考生在聽/看到題目15秒內準備，在之後緊接着的45秒內回答。
第一題是講述考試身邊的事情。比如你尊敬的一個人及原因，你喜歡的一本書及原因，你印象深刻的一個活動/典禮及原因。
第二題是二選一或支持/反對某一觀點的問題，非常像舊託福TWE185的題目。
第三、四題會給考生45秒來讀一段閱讀材料，之後閱讀材料不再顯示，讓考生聽一段1分多鐘的相關錄音材料。然後要考生根據閱讀和聽力材料回答問題。考生有30秒鐘準備，60秒鐘回答。
第三題的閱讀材料較常見的是學校貼出了一張通知/告示，說要採取某方面的新措施、新政策。然後列舉原因。聽力材料則是學生對新措施、新政策的討論。
第四題的閱讀材料和聽力材料一般都是學術問題。
第五題和第六題考生會聽到1分多種的聽力材料，然後根據聽力材料回答問題。考生有20秒鐘準備，60秒鐘回答。第五題較多見的是一個學生遇到了問題，另一個學生(或老師)幫助出主意，一般來說會提出兩個主意，然後考生除了會被要求複述場景相關內容外，還要指出你覺得那一個方案更好，並簡單說說理由。
第六題是一個學術段子。
託福口語考試注意筆記一般來說，口語考試時的筆記記錄對考試幫助較大，就算第一、第二題，如果能在15秒的準備時間裏簡單寫一兩個提綱之或關鍵詞彙，對回答往往也有幫助。
要注意的是口語考試時雖然耳機可以抵消一部分外界干擾，但難免會遇到一些大聲回答問題的同學，所以大家要做好心理準備，遇到外界干擾明顯時也要沉着應對。 口語考試的後四題，聽力材料的難度和OG很接近，比Delta明顯容易。主要體現在速度上比Delta慢，內容上幾個關鍵要點比Delta的口語後四題容易找些。
