端午節(Dragon Boat Festival)是中國的傳統節日之一，爲每年農曆五月初五。它與春節、清明節和中秋節並稱爲中國漢族的四大傳統節日。端午節的來源有多種說法，但最被人們接受的是爲了紀念著名愛國詩人屈原。這一天的習俗有吃糉子、賽龍舟、喝雄黃酒(realgar wine)等。從2008年起，端午節正式列入國家法定節日，這既有助於弘揚傳統文化，又能適應人們的需要。

Dragon Boat Festival is one of Chinese traditionalfestivals. It's on the fifth day of the fifth lunarmonth. 3.端午節的來源有多種說法:不要一看見“有”字，就僅想到there are... “有” 也可以指“存在”，翻譯時要注意合理的選詞及句式的多變。“說法”也可翻譯爲theories。

4.糉子:可譯爲rice dumpling,也可直接添加拼音標註。

5.法定節假日:應譯爲public holiday。爲了精確起見，中國的法定節日可加上地域限制in mainlandChina。
