常見英語語法錯誤破句也稱爲片語，是考生作文中常犯的另一個錯誤。破句實際上就是非完整句，這樣的句子在結構上是不完整的，在語法上也是不正確的。英語中，一個意思和結構都完整的句子至少有主語和謂語兩部分，當然祈使句除外。若將句子中的某一部分當作一個句子，就會導致破句錯誤。
