情態動詞will和would的用法講解

情態動詞will和would在英語語法中所表達的意思幾乎相同，但是，在具體應用中還是有一定區別的：
1、表示請求、建議等，would比will委婉客氣。如：
Would you pass me the book?
2、表示意志、願望和決心。如：
I will never do that again.
我再也不會做那了。
They asked if we would do that again.
他們問到，我們是否願意再次做那。
3、 用“will be”和“will(would) + have + 過去分詞”的結構表示推測，主要用於第二、三人稱。前者表示對目前情況的推測，後者表示對已經完成的動作或事態的推測。如：
This will be the book you want.
這本書應該是你想要的。
He will have arrived by now.
他現在應該已經到了。
The guests would have arrived by that time.
那時，客人們應該都到了。
I thought you would have finished this by now.
我認爲你現在應該已經完成了。
4、will表示習慣、請求，固有性質等。
Everyday he will sit here hour after hour doing nothing.（習慣）
他每天就坐在那裏，卻什麼事也不做。
Will you help me with my English?（請求）
你能幫我提高我的英語嗎？
The door won't open. （固有性質）
這個門打不開。
5、Would可表示過去反覆發生的動作或某種傾向。Would表過去習慣時比used to正式，並沒有“現已無此習慣”的含義。如：
The wound would not heal.
這個傷口癒合不了。
During the vacation he would visit me every week.
假期裏，他每個星期都會看我。
6、表料想或猜想。如：
It would be about ten when he left home.
當他離開家的時候大概是十點。
What would she be doing there?
她去哪裏幹什麼？
