《星球大戰7》首週末稱霸內地影院

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" broke records in the Chinese mainland with $53m in ticket sales on its first weekend, propelling the movie to become the third highest-grossing film globally in history, Walt Disney Co said Sunday.

迪斯尼公司10日宣佈，科幻電影《星球大戰》系列的第7部《星球大戰：原力覺醒》創中國內地首週末票房紀錄，狂攬5300萬美元，這一成績也幫助該片拿下全球影史票房季軍。

The China figures represent the highest Saturday or Sunday movie opening in the Chinese mainland in industry history, the film studio said.

迪斯尼方面發表聲明稱，《星球大戰：原力覺醒》創下了中國內地電影史週六或週日的首映紀錄。

Internationally, "The Force Awakens", the seventh installment in the science fiction franchise, brought its worldwide haul to $1.73b, Disney said. It has now shot past "Jurassic World's" $1.67 billion global gross to become the third biggest movie ever.

迪斯尼方面還表示，《星球大戰7：原力覺醒》的全球票房累計已達17.3億美元。它現在已經超越了《侏羅紀世界》的16億7000萬美元的票房成績，成爲了全球影史第三大電影。

China will help decide if "Force Awakens" tops "Avatar" as the highest-grossing film in Hollywood history. "Avatar" took in $2.8 billion after its December 2009 debut.

中國票房將在一定程度上決定《星戰7》能否超越《阿凡達》成爲好萊塢影史上最賣座的電影。2009年12月首映的《阿凡達》取得了28億美元的票房。

The "Star Wars" film saga that began in 1977 had not been a cultural phenomenon in China like it was in other countries. The original movies weren't shown in Chinese theaters until last June. D
