手機刷步神器網絡熱賣 這樣有意義嗎?

A device used to increase the number of walking steps counted on smartphones has become popular and tens of thousands of the devices have been sold on Chinese online sales platforms, China Youth Daily reported.

Tens-of-thousands of the devices have been sold on online stores in China.

The devices range from 30 to 50 yuan, and are powered by batteries or USB links.

The popularity of exercise campaigns launched by social networking apps like WeChat are said to be driving the sales, as the more daily steps you take, the higher your rank will be among your friends on WeChat.

However, other apps such as Yodo Run, Ledongli and Ping An Health Assistant will award different prizes, including cash awards, for the number of steps a user takes in a day.
