中國寓言故事雙語版 第128期:只治"外"科

There was a doctor who claimed to be good at treating surgical cases.

有位醫生，自稱擅長治療外科疾病。

One day,a general was struck by an arrow from the enemy on the battlefield. The arrow had penetrated into his flesh,so he called for the “surgeon”.

一天，有位武將在戰場上中了敵人的飛箭，箭頭穿進了皮肉。他命人請來了這位“外科”醫生。

The general told him what had happened. The “surgeon” said repeatedly:

武將把情況對這位“外科”醫生一講，他連聲說:

“The treatment is easy! The treatment is easy!”

“好治!好治!”

He took up a pair of sharp scissors,and with a snap cut off the exposed arrow handed over the arrow shaft to the general and said:

只見他拿起一把鋒利的剪刀，“咔嚓”一聲，把露在皮膚外面的箭桿剪掉了。他就把箭桿交給武將，說:

“It's done. Please give me my pay.”

“好了，請你付酬金吧!”

These words left the general not knowing whether to laugh or to cry. He said to the “surgeon”:

武將被他弄得哭笑不得，對“外科”醫生說:

“The arrow head is still in my must get it out quickly.”

“箭頭還留在皮肉裏面，必須趕快取出來呀!

The “surgeon” said:“The arrow head in the flesh is a matter of internal medicine and has nothing to do with my ‘surgery’”.

”這位“外科”醫生說:“箭頭在皮肉裏面，這是內科的事了，與我‘外科’無關。”
