高尚的教師值得尊敬Noble Teachers Deserve Respect
Since ancient times, teaching has been a nobleprofession. And teachers are often compared to “gardeners” and “candles” whichburn themselves but light the way for others. This indicates that people have aspecial respect foe teachers and the job of teaching. In survey the history ofChinese education, we can see teachers are not only holding the responsibilityof transmitting knowledge but also setting good models for students in morals,ethics and patriotism. It is curious that our own offenses should seem so much less heinous than the offenses of others. I suppose the reason is that we know all the circumstances that have occasioned them and so manage to excuse in ourselves what we cannot excuse in others.
