浪漫之都《巴黎我愛你》

說到城市題材的電影，不得不提《巴黎我愛你》。這部極其一堆世界知名大導拼湊的18個巴黎都市的風情，淋漓盡致地將浪漫之都的種種光鮮亮麗和展現在觀衆面前。

Paris, je t'aime is about the plurality of cinema in one mythic location: Paris, the City of Love. Twenty filmmakers have five minutes each; the audience must weaving a single narrative out of twenty moments. The 20 moments are fused by transitional interstitial sequences and also via the introduction and epilogue. Each transition begins with the last shot of the previous film and ends with the first shot of the following film, extending the enchantment and the emotion of the previous segment, preparing the audience for a surprise, and providing a cohesive atmosphere. There's a reappearing mysterious character who is a witness to the Parisian life. A common theme of Paris and love fuses all.

時尚之都《紐約我愛你》

有了《巴黎我愛你》的成功，好萊塢便效仿拍了《紐約我愛你》。雖然同樣是串燒式的編排，後者卻不及前者那麼華麗，卻也讓更多人看到了時尚之外的紐約大蘋果。

Ten vignettes in New York City: a pickpocket meets his match; a young Hasidic woman, on the eve of her marriage, reveals herself to an Indian businessman; a writer tries a pick-up line; an artist seeks a model; a composer needs to read; two women connect; a man takes a child to Central Park; lovers meet; a couple takes a walk on their anniversary; a kid goes to the prom with a girl in a wheelchair; a retired singer contemplates suicide. There are eight million stories in the naked city: these have been ten of them.

溫情之都：倫敦《真愛至上》

都是串燒電影，卻誰都比不上《真愛至上》的溫情經典。雖然更偏重於時間而非地點，這個始於倫敦希斯羅機場的聖誕電影，卻叫人品味到更濃重的城市人情味兒。

The characters are falling in love, falling out of love, some are with right people, some are with the wrong people, some are looking to have an affair, some are in the period of mourning; a capsule summary of reality. Love begins and love ends. They flirt a lot. They are all flirting with love. At all ages and social levels, love is the theme. Romantic love and brotherly love is the hotchpotch through out the movie. Most of the movie is filmed in London, during Christmas and the characters all ended up at Heathrow airport a very uplifting note.

活力之都《迷失東京》

城市給人的感覺不只是溫情，更多是異鄉人的迷惘和失落，以及巨大的文化衝擊。《迷失東京》的迷失主題讓不少異鄉人產生了共鳴，而東京的獨特魅力也在其中展現。

Americans abroad, almost innocents. Charlotte, fresh out of Yale with a degree in philosophy, is in Tokyo with her husband, a photographer whose work takes him away that week. She's adrift, her soul on ice. Bob, mid-50s, a semi-retired movie star, is there to make $2 million doing a whisky ad. At home are a wife and young children, but he's jaded and melancholy. Both are jet-lagged, and Tokyo's culture and language push them further off kilter. When they meet in the hotel bar and spend their free time together for a few days, possibilities arise amidst the losses. Their friendship becomes an experience: does he have something to teach; can she reconnect him to life?

變遷之都：香港《甜蜜蜜》

兜了一圈回到國內，香港是小時候最嚮往的城市，因爲歌曲，因爲港劇。《甜蜜蜜》真實呈現了香港小市民的生活狀況和時代的變遷，一個城市的命運無非如此吧？

Jun arrives in Hong Kong from mainland China, hoping to be able to earn enough money to marry his girlfriend back home. He meets the streetwise Qiao and they become friends. As friendship turns into love, problems develop, and although they seem meant for each other they somehow keep missing out.

聚焦之都：上海《大城小事》

世博會在上海舉行，怎麼能不說說咱們的大上海？好吧，我知道《大城小事》不是什麼太好看的電影，但不可置否它實在把上海拍得好像世博宣傳片哈……

Dr. Zhao Him and his girlfriend Siu Yuht break up after a year and a half long romance. Yet after their separation he finds himself thinking more and more about her. Finally when a chance meeting with a wealthy client brings them together again, he gets his chance of speaking his love. Even he moves next to Siu Yuht but she wants no part of him. Will working together allow their love to rekindle a second time?
