斯諾登研發新程序：手機變監控設備，力阻間諜行爲
Edward Snowden is best known for revealing the spy programs of the US's National Security Agency, but his next project is intended to make citizens feel more secure.
愛德華•斯諾登因披露美國國家安全局的間諜計劃而名聲大噪，而他的下一步計劃是讓民衆獲得更多安全感。
It's an app, called Haven, that's designed to turn Android phones into all-in-one anti-spy systems.
這是一款名爲“Haven”的應用程序，它能將安卓手機變爲一款多功能反間諜系統。
斯諾登稱，Haven會利用智能手機的各種傳感器，如麥克風、移動探測器、光線探測器和攝像頭，來監視房間裏的變化，並記錄所有細節：
"Imagine if you had a guard dog you could take with you to any hotel room and leave it in your room when you're not there. And it's actually smart, and it witnesses everything that happens and creates a record of it."
“試想一下，如果你有一隻能夠帶入任何酒店房間的警衛犬，還可以在出門時將它留在房間，而且這隻警衛犬還是智能的，它可以幫你觀察所發生的一切，並記錄下來。”
The idea is simple: You install the app on a cheap "burner" phone — one that can be thrown away — and then set up the phone in a place you want to monitor.
這個設計非常簡單：將上述應用安裝到一款便宜的“一次性手機”（用完就可以扔掉的手機）中，然後再把這臺手機放到想監控的地點。
Perhaps you're in a hotel room in Hong Kong, worried that a world power is attempting to spy on your actions. What to do? Install Haven on an otherwise inexpensive Android smartphone.
或許你住在香港的某一酒店內，擔心某種國際勢力企圖監控你的行蹤。你該怎麼辦？這時，你可以把Haven安裝到一部便宜的安卓智能手機之中。
You can program it to start recording or taking photos if someone enters your room. Those recordings can then be sent securely to your personal phone, perhaps through an encrypted-communication tool like Signal.
對此應用進行設置，一旦有人進入房間，就會開啓錄製或者拍攝模式。這些內容將通過Signal等加密通訊工具安全傳輸到你的個人手機中。
As the image above demonstrates, Haven uses encrypted services like Signal and Tor that let users retain full control of the communication.

In so many words, the app is intended to turn a smartphone into a personal security system.

"We designed Haven as a tool for investigative journalists and people at risk," Snowden says in a video introducing the app.
斯諾登在一段說明視頻中表示：“Haven就是我們爲調查記者以及那些深陷危險中的人設計的工具。”
斯諾登指出，Haven目前仍處於測試階段，還存在很多誤報情況。第一個公開測試版已經正式發佈，可以在Google Play商店和免費開源安卓應用商店F-Droid上下載。
