範例1：

“I'm already doubting, so I can't afford to have others doubt me.” Sean stopped for a moment and looked at his listener. The look in his eyes showed Sean he was not doubting what Sean was saying. With a small smile of encourage from his listener, Sean continued, “If you were me, what would you do?” During this short pause, the server came by and asked if they wanted more coffee or tea. Both Sean and his listener accepted the offer. From the looks of things, perhaps they would be staying for a bit longer.
