01. After you.
(1) 用作進出門或進餐等場合請人先行的客套語，意爲：你先請。如：

B：No, please. 不，你先請。

After you with the newspaper, please. 你看完報後請讓我看。
02. I couldn’t agree less.
表示完全不同意對方的觀點或看法等，可譯爲：我一點也不同意;我完全不同意;我絕對不同意。如：
A：Perhaps we can sell the house. 也許我們可以把房子賣掉。
B：I couldn’t agree less. 我絕對不同意。
A：The film is worth seeing twice. 這部電影值得看兩遍。

04. Go ahead.
(1)表示同意或允許，意爲：說吧;做吧;開始吧;進行吧。如：

A：Could I ask you a rather personal question? 我可以問你一個較私人的問題嗎?

05. Not at all.
(1) 用來回答感謝，意爲：不用謝;不客氣。如：
A：Thanks for helping me. 謝謝你幫助我。
B：Not at all. I enjoyed it. 別客氣，很高興能幫你。
(2) 用來回答道歉，意爲：沒關係。如：
A：I’m sorry to keep you waiting. 對不起，讓你久等了。
B：Oh，not at all. I’ve been here only a few minutes. 哦，沒關係，我也剛到幾分鐘。
(3)用來表示否定(是No的加強說法)，意爲：一點也不;完全不。如：

06. Believe it or not.
當說話人要告訴對方一件意想不到的事或使對方感到驚奇的事時，用以強調自己所說之話的真實性，意爲：信不信由你;不管你信不信;我說的是真的。如：
I was already a university teacher, believe it or not, when I was only twenty. 信不信由你，我才20歲就已經是大學老師了。
I asked my boss for a month’s holiday and, believe it or not, he agreed. 我向老闆請一個月的假，信不信由你，他同意了。
注：有時也說 Would you believe it? / Believe or believe not。
07. Mind your own business.
表示：這不用你管! 你少管閒事! 這關你什麼事? 如：
A：What has he sent you in that parcel? 他在那包裏給你寄來了什麼?
B：Mind your own business. 你少管閒事。
注：此用法與 None of your business 同義，兩者常可換用。如：
A：What do you do with your money? 你的錢用來幹什麼?
B：None of your business. 這不用你管。
08. You’ll catch it.
表示：你會捱罵的;你會捱揍的。如：
If the teacher sees you doing that, you’ll catch it. 要是老師發現你這樣做，你會捱罵的。
You’ll catch it, when your father finds you’ve been trampling over the flower beds. 要是你父親發現你踩過花壇，你會捱揍的。
09. Come on.
(1) 表示請求、鼓勵、勸說等，意爲：來吧;行啦。如：
Come on, Bill, you can tell me, I won’t tell anybody. 來吧，比爾，告訴我吧，我不會告訴別人的。
(2) 用來催促別人快走或快做，意爲：快點。如：
Come on, it’s getting dark. 快點，天要黑了。
(3) 表示責備或不耐煩等，意爲：得啦;行啦;夠啦。如：
Come on, don’t sit there dreaming. 得啦，別坐在那兒空想了。
(4) 用於挑戰或激怒對方，意爲：來吧;好吧;試試吧。如：

B：It all depends. Are you going yourself? 到時候看情況而定，你去嗎?
A：Do you always go on your holiday together with your sister? 你總是同你姐姐一起去度假嗎?
