新東方商務口語[17]:尋找酒店 Looking for a Hotel

沒出過差的朋友可以仔細看看下面這段，特別是需要到國外出差的朋友，很多的國外的酒店只接收美金和信用卡結賬，有些只接受信用卡。就像我的前老闆的不久前的一次中東之行，在迪拜的機場的大型購物中心就只可以信用卡結賬，結果有美金也買不成東西，難免掃興。有可能有出國商務考查的朋友可就要注意這點了。

Desk Clerk: Comfort Inn, may I help you?

Mr. Lee: I’m looking for a hotel near the convention center.

Desk Clerk: You’re in luck! We’re just a two-minute drive from there. Would you like to make a reservation?

Mr. Lee: Not just yet. I have one or two questions. How much for a single?

Desk Clerk: During the peak season, a single room goes for 50 dollars on a night. But we’ve got a Single Super Saver Special going on right now – only $30 a night. And we’ve also extended our checkout time to 2:00 in the afternoon. And since its low season you might consider taking a double for $50 or a suite for $60.
