I've been concerned about you lately. 最近我很擔心你。

The president himself said to be "intensely concerned". 總統本人表示“非常關注”。

3. more than+adj.

-She's pretty.

-Oh she's definitely more than pretty. She's gorgeous. 她可不只是“漂亮”這麼簡單。她美呆了。

① more than與數詞連用，意思是“多於，大於，超過”。相當於over.例如：

I’ve known him for more than 20 years. 我認識他已經二十多年了。

② more than後面跟名詞，意爲“不只是，不僅僅是”。

例如：She is more than a teacher to us, she is our friend. 他不只是教師，她還是我們的朋友。

③ more than與形容詞和分詞連用，表示“非常、十分”。

例如：She is more than beautiful. 她非常漂亮 。

④ more than與動詞連用，對動詞起着加強語氣的作用。

例如：His progress more than encouraged him to work hard. 進步激勵他努力學習。

h your Uncle Marsellus is more than happy to do. 你馬叔會很樂意做。

4. desperate adj. 絕望的

Sorry to ask, but I'm desperate. 抱歉打擾，但是我已窮途末路了。

She's so desperate and insecure. 她絕望又沒有安全感。
