【講解】

短語face the music源於美國軍隊士兵所接受懲罰的一種儀式，據說當某個士兵犯了軍紀，並被開除時,軍官宜布他的罪狀時要放一種音樂，而犯了軍紀的士兵只好低頭並面對這種音樂。後來該短語就用來指“接受懲罰，承擔後果”。
