I really 1ove that. But to be honest, I don't have the big yard or balcony to keep the plants due to the limited space in the city. However, I have bought small cactus as the decoration in my study. Someone told me it can help reduce radiation from electronic devices.

雅思口語失分點一:

有些考生說話語速過快,完全沒有輕重緩急,甚至已經聽不出來正常的呼吸喘氣,只能被考官理解成是“靈異現象”。這種answering machine的回答按照口語評分標準,考生應該得到的分數爲5分。

補救措施:

事實上,正常的停頓是必要的。流利和快速並非一個概念。在不影響到語言清晰的前提下,語速快些當然可以。但如果爲追求流利而犧牲了語言的清晰和思考的時間,這就得不償失了。況且,正常而流暢的交談,本身就應該在句子和句子間作適當的停頓,以便對話雙方可以特別強調某些內容。所以,教師建議考生應將“把每個音發準、發正確”放在第一位,保持語速和音調的均勻順暢非常重要,語速忽快忽慢,聲調忽高忽低都顯得突兀、誇張和不自然。其次,如果語速過快,考生反而沒有給自己留下時間去思考下句話該說什麼。除非考生已經能夠達到純英語思維,否則一定會一直卡,每句話之間都會打“格楞”。所以對考生而言,將自己想說的話緩緩道來,同時留給自己一定的思考時間,纔是上策。

部分考生在回答問題時,往往秉持着一個固定的思維模式——尋找標準答案,此類答案很多時候沒有邏輯性,考生不知道如何表揚或批評一個事物,不懂得如何發表自己的觀點,並去論證它。沒有個性,沒有自己獨立思想的學生是得不了高分的。有的學生面對口語考試中的這些深層次的問題,別說是用英語,就是用中文也說不明白,平時想都沒想過,也沒功夫想。

補救措施:

多看,看讀,多思考,有一定的積累。這不光是爲了考試,今後到國外大學去讀書,被要求論證一個事情,這種功課是很多的。

雅思口語失分點三:

很多考生在考試的時候會對某個或某幾個問題不甚瞭解,又或是題目中的某個詞或詞組不是很明白,在聽不懂題目的時候,絕大多數同學採取的策略是:一猜二蒙!

當你猜測或蒙的時候,你在以下方面嚴重丟分:

(1) 對考題的理解能力

(2) 表述自己觀點的能力(因爲你的回答和考官想問的大相徑庭,考官自然難以聽懂)

如果你放鬆地、大膽地問考官 “I’m sorry, could you rephrase the question?” 你壓根不會被扣分。即便考官解釋之後你要求他再次解釋,你也僅僅可能因爲“理解能力”而被扣個微乎其微的0.05分,而絕對不會因“聽不懂”、“答跑題” 受到雙重重罰。這樣類似的問法還有:Would you please repeat it? What do you mean by" "? I didn't follow/catch you.等。
