美國哥倫比亞號航天飛機墜毀

Flags fly at half-staff at the base of the Washington Monument in memory of those who perished aboard the space shuttle Columbia Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, in Washington. Space shuttle Columbia broke apart over East Texas as it prepared to land at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida Saturday morning. All crew members perished in the disaster.

2003年2月1日，星期六，華盛頓紀念館下半旗以紀念失事哥倫比亞號航天飛船上遇難的宇航員。星期六上午，正準備往佛羅里達州肯尼迪航天中心降落的哥倫比亞號航天飛船在德克薩斯州東部爆炸。飛船上所有機組成員全部遇難。
