貓頭鷹是一種大眼睛的鳥，但是貓頭鷹不能移動它的眼睛，它只能朝前看。如果它想要向側面看，就必須轉動脖子。

貓頭鷹晚上比白天視力要好很多，所以它們整夜都在尋找食物。它們喜歡吃老鼠和昆蟲。
