阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦美籍德國猶太裔，理論物理學家，世界十大傑出物理學家之一，現代物理學的開創者、集大成者和奠基人，相對論的創立者，同時也是一位著名的思想家和哲學家。愛因斯坦1900年畢業於蘇黎世聯邦理工學院，入瑞士國籍。1905年獲蘇 黎世大學哲學博士學位。曾在伯爾尼專利局任職，在蘇黎世工業大學、布拉格德意志擔任大學教授。1913年返德國，任柏林威廉皇帝物理研究所所長和柏林洪堡 大學教授，並當選爲普魯士科學院院士,1921年獲諾貝爾物理學獎，1933年因受納粹政權迫害，遷居美國，任普林斯頓高級研究所教授，從事理論物理研 究，1940年入美國國籍。1999年被美國《時代週刊》評選爲“世紀偉人”。
