美國留學簽證或改爲一年一簽

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is reportedly considering a proposal that would require Foreign students to reapply for visas every year, reports the Washington Post.

據《華盛頓郵報》報道，美國國土安全部正在考慮一項提案，要求留學生每年申請一次簽證。

The report in the Washington Post says Homeland is considering the move as part of a tighter national security program.

《華盛頓郵報》的這篇報道稱，國土安全部認爲此舉是加強美國國家安全計劃的一部分。

If implemented, the proposal would add additional costs and paperwork for foreign students, many of whom come from China.

而該計劃一旦實施，就會給外國學生--其中很多是中國學生--增添額外的經濟負擔和文書工作。

The Washington Post is reporting the plan is in its early stages, and may take up to 18 months to complete.

據《華盛頓郵報》報道，該計劃尚處於初期階段，可能還需要18個月才能完成。

The proposal comes as the Trump administration moves to tighten immigration controls.

而在此提案出現的當下，特朗普政府正打算加強移民管制。

The majority of foreign students in the United States currently come from China, followed by India and South Korea. Foreign students are a major source of revenue for U.S. colleges and universities.

目前在美留學的學生中來自中國的最多，其次是印度和韓國。而外國學生是美國高校的一項主要收入來源。
