海南百歲老人達1565名 最長壽者117歲

A total of 1,565 centenarians were living in China's southernmost province of Hainan by the end of 2017, including an oldest woman aged 117, according to a report by the provincial health commission.

The 117-year-old centenarian lives in Jinshan Town in the city of Wenchang, according to the report.

The proportion of centenarians, or 17.13 out of every 100,000 people in Hainan, was far higher than China's national standard that can make a city named "longevity hometown", or seven centenarians for every 100,000 people.
