As the youngest of four childrenin his family, Depp was born on June 9, 1963, in Kentucky, but he was raised inFlorida. At the age of 12, Depp began playing in various garage bands with aguitar given by his mother, a waitress. However, when he was 15, his parentsdivorced and his mother remarried. In this period, Johnny Depp engaged inself-harm, due to the stress of dealing with family problem. A year after hisparents’ divorce, Depp dropped out of high school to become a rock musician.
