Lesson 13 A New Dress
Step 1 ~ Text ~
LOUISE: What colour's your new dress? 路易絲：你的新連衣裙是什麼顏色的？
ANNA: It's green. Come upstairs and see it. 安娜：是綠色的。到樓上來看看吧。
LOUISE: Thank you. 路易絲：謝謝。
ANNA: Look! Here it is! 安娜：瞧，就是這件。
LOUISE: That's a nice dress. It's very smart. 路易絲：這件連衣裙真好，真漂亮。
ANNA: My hat's new, too. 安娜：我的帽子也是新的。
LOUISE: What colour is it? 路易絲：是什麼顏色的？
ANNA: It's the same colour. It's green, too. 安娜：一樣的顏色，也是綠的。
LOUISE: That is a lovely hat! 路易絲：真是一頂可愛的帽子！

It's the same colour. 一樣的顏色。
same通常與定冠詞the連用，表示“同一的”、“相同的”：
two boys of the same age 兩個同齡的男孩子
We live in the same city. 我們住在同一個城市裏。
That is a lovey hat! 真是一頂可愛的帽子！
句末用的是驚歎號，表現出較強的感情色彩。句中的is用斜體，是爲了強調，應重讀。
數字40，50，60，70，80，90，100，101的英文寫法
40 — forty，50 — fifty，60 — sixty，70 — seventy，80 — eighty，90 — ninety，100 — one hundred / a hundred，101 — one hundred and one / a hundred and one

what colour(s) 引導的特殊疑問句
以疑問詞what引導的What colour ... ? 和What colours ... ? 類型的特殊疑問句式用於詢問顏色。又如：
What colour is Anna's hat? 安娜的帽子是什麼顏色的？
What colour's Helen's dog? 海倫的狗是什麼顏色的？
What colour's your shirt? 你的襯衣是什麼顏色的？
What colour is it? 它是什麼顏色的？
祈使句
祈使句的主語通常不直接表示出來，其謂語動詞用原型。祈使句用來表示請求、建議、命令、叮囑等。如：
Follow me. 跟我來。
Shut the door, please. 請關門。
Look out! 當心！
Keep off the grass! 請勿踐踏草地！
Help yourself. 請自己動手。
某些祈使動詞可以後跟and和另一個祈使動詞，而不是後跟人們預料的帶to的動詞不定式結構：
Come and see this goldfish. 來看看這條金魚。（不用Come to see）
Go and buy yourself a new pair of shoes. 去給自己買雙新鞋吧。（不用Go to buy）
Wait and see. 等着瞧吧。（不用Wait to see）

nice adj.
美好的，好看的
It's a nice day today, isn't it? 今天天氣真好，不是嗎？
That's a nice dress. 那件連衣裙真好看。
和藹的，友好的
He is very nice to his neightbours. 他對鄰居很友善。
使人高興的，令人愉快的
It is so nice to have you here. 你能在這兒真是太好了。
Have a nice time! 祝你玩得痛快點！
smart adj.
漂亮的，時髦的，巧妙的
Anna's hat is smart. 安娜的帽子漂亮而別緻。
You look smart in that new dress. 你穿那件新連衣裙看上去時髦而灑脫。
聰明的，伶俐的，精明的
She is a smart student. 她是一名聰穎的學生。
He is a smart businessman. 他是一位精明的商人。

一、情景對話（必做）
You want to know what colour Anna's new dress is. What do you say?
二、Write sentences using 's, his or her. 模仿例句提問並回答，選用名詞所有格形式's或代詞所有格形式his或her。（選做）
Example:
Steven/umbrella/black —— What colour's Steven's umbrella? His umbrella's black.

Example:

This is my father. This is his suit.
This is my daughter. This is her dress.
