get, achieve, attain, gain, obtain 均可表示“獲得”。
① get用得最廣, 可指以各種方式獲得各種東西。

② achieve多指克服困難後取得勝利，成功，強調“得到”這一結果。
You will achieve your ambition if you work hard.
如果你努力, 你的抱負是可以實現的。
③ attain爲正式用詞，多用於莊重場合，主要指通過努力達到重要目的或得到珍貴的東西。
He attained the position of minister.
他得到了部長的職位。
④ gain多指付出極大努力後獲得或贏得給自己帶來優勢的東西，如某種利益、好處、經驗等。
He fought bravely in many battles and gained their respect.
在多次戰役中他英勇作戰, 從而贏得了大家的尊敬。
⑤ obtain多指憑努力或懇求得到急需或很想得到的東西。
Howard had failed to obtain a scholarship.
霍華德沒能得到獎學金。
