When do you like to dress up?

Phuong: Hello everybody, I'm Phuong from Vietnam.

JM: And I'm JM from the Philippines.

Phuong: And today's question is when do you like to dress up? How about you first JM?

JM: Well I don't really like to dress up in general, I just wear what I'm wearing right now, tee shirt shorts and sneakers but of course on special occasions like, say, a friend's wedding or maybe like an interview or something like that or for a date, then yes I would need to dress up. How about you?

Phuong: Sure for a date you need to dress up.

JM: Yes, definitely.

JM:對,沒錯。

Phuong: For me though I think girls like to dress up every day because they want to be beautiful in the eyes of the others. For me, I don't think that it is dress up but for anything like some ocasion like proms, parties and some special occasion as well, yeah a date of course, and some occasion like weddings and some ceremony, I think it is a good time to dress up to make yourself beautiful and also it is a way to respect the opposite people so I think...

JM: Yes, that's right.

JM:對,沒錯。

Phuong: Yes, sure. OK.

JM: All right, bye bye.

JM:好,再見。

Phuong: Bye.

Do people kiss in public in your country?

Tlotlo: Hi, my name is Tlotlo and I am from Botswana.

Resse: And my name is Resse from Botswana as well.

Tlotlo: And our question is do people kiss in public in your country?

Resse: Definitely.

Tlotlo: OK, elaborate.

Resse: Everywhere you go, there's couples kissing and doing all sorts of stuff in public.

Tlotlo: Yeah, I can agree with him actually. I've seen a couple of times people kissing in public and it's become very common and people are adapting to seeing people kiss just in public.

Resse: I thought though it should be something you do in private.

Tlotlo: Well yeah, but I guess you know times are changing, people do different things these days so kissing in public is just one of those changes. Back then yes it used to be like when you see people kissing in public you go like whoah and you'd stare at them and just be amazed but these days you just look at them and just pass and move on with your life.

Resse: I think it's progress to me, I feel maybe the limit should be holding hands and hugging, that's the limit of public affection.

Tlotlo: In public, but kissing no?

Resse: No.

Tlotlo: No?

Resse: No.

Is it better to rent or own a home?

Shon: Hello everybody, and this is me Shon from Uzbekistan.

Miki: And I'm Miki from Nigeria.

Shon: Nice to meet you.

Miki: Now we're talking about renting a home. Is it better for you to rent or to own? So Shon what do you think?

Shon: Well it depends on to be honest but for me let's say if we say about the car, I guess it's better to own yourself.

Miki: Well that's nice.

Shon: When it comes to the house or if you're living abroad it's better always to rent instead of having because you're living abroad right, you won't live there for good. But when it comes to the small, small things I prefer to own myself because it's your own, you can do whatever you want to do with it.

Miki: All right, I see. I think renting in some way is more ecological if you look at it from the other aspect of the thing because if you rent something you know you will use it for some time and hand it over because more times if you own it's, how do I put it, it's more or less not ecological because you always want to keep that thing and get a new one and add to it so you keep trying. But if you rent you give it away again and you give others a chance to use it.

Shon: OK, now I see. Well maybe we should start doing the reverse then?

Miki: To start renting cars it is easy because you can get a good bargain from your car company and after using it you can hand it over and get a new car so you can get to use any cars you want to use at any particular time, any day, anywhere in any place.

Shon: Well that's cool.
