1. 解詞釋義

Could turkey的意思是“毫無準備，缺乏誠意”“果斷毅然”。西方人最大的節日就是聖誕節了，過節時家家都準備火雞，而不精配料的火雞是最容易做的，它幾乎不花心思來準備，商店裏隨處都可以買到現成的。然後，冷火雞的味道就相差太遠了。所以切忌用could turkey來招待客人，否則客人覺得你沒有誠意，而拂袖而去。其英文解釋爲："Cold turkey" describes the actions of a person who abruptly gives up a habit or addiction rather than gradually easing the process through gradual reduction or by using replacement medication.
