法棍麪包申遺獲法國總統馬克龍支持

French President Emmanuel Macron joined calls by bakers for France's traditional baguette to be recognized as one of the world's cultural treasures on UNESCO's list of "intangible heritage".

近日，法國麪包師呼籲將該國傳統的棍子麪包列入聯合國教科文組織的“非物質文化遺產”名錄，該國總統埃馬紐埃爾·馬克龍對此表示支持。

The call came after the art of Naples' pizza makers was given the nod by the United Nations cultural body's World Heritage Committee in December.

去年12月，那不勒斯披薩製作者的手藝得到了聯合國教科文組織的世界遺產委員會的認可，法國麪包師的呼聲隨之而來。

"The baguette is envied around the world. We must preserve its excellence and our expertise, and it is for this reason that it should be heritage-listed," Macron said.

馬克龍稱：“法棍麪包深受全世界的喜愛。我們必須保存其卓越品質和我們的專業技藝，因爲這一原因法棍麪包應被列爲非物質文化遺產。”

"It is part of daily life in France and the bread has a special history."

“法棍麪包是法國日常生活的一部分，這種麪包有着特殊的歷史。”

Dominique Anract, the head of the national confederation of baking and pastry, earlier said the "marvellous" baguette, made of flour, water, salt and yeast, should "have its rightful place" in world heritage.

法國全國麪包師聯合會主席多米尼克·安拉克特早些時候曾表示，用麪粉、水、鹽和酵母製成的“美妙的”法棍麪包應該在世界遺產中“有一席之地”。

Along with the Eiffel tower, the baguette is one of the main symbols of France, Anract told a local radio station.

安拉克特告訴一家當地電臺說，和埃菲爾鐵塔一樣，法棍麪包是法國的主要標誌之一。

It will certainly take some time before the French baguette joins Belgium beer and Neapolitan pizza-making on the Unesco list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Naples's launched its bid in 2009 before making the list in 2017, almost a decade later.

當然，法棍麪包不會那麼快就和比利時啤酒和那不勒斯披薩一樣被列入聯合國教科文組織的非物質文化遺產。那不勒斯也是花了近十年的時間才讓它的披薩在2017年躋身“非遺”之列，人家早在2009年就提出了申請。

"It will be a long process," Anract conceded, "but this is a very important issue for bakers, French people and our country's reputation."

安拉克特承認：“法棍的申遺將是一個漫長的過程。但它對於麪包師、法國人和法國的榮譽都是非常重要的。”
