自然指數全球科研城市50強榜單出爐 北京居首

Beijing ranks in first place in a list of cities that produced the most high-quality research in 2017, and nine other Chinese cities made the top 50, according to the Nature Index 2018 Science Cities, a supplement of the British scientific journal Nature, published last Thursday.

根據上週四發佈的英國科學期刊《自然》增刊《2018自然指數-科研城市》顯示，北京在2017年取得高質量科研的城市榜單中排名第一，另有其他9座中國城市躋身前50名。

The list sorted out and ranked 200 cities worldwide by their 2017 fractional count, a metric for the share of contributions to the authorship of articles in 82 high-quality research journals.

該榜單是根據2017年全球200個城市的科研分數進行的挑選及排名，使用在82家高質量研究期刊發表論文的作者比例作爲衡量指標。

To calculate the fractional count, all authors are considered to have contributed equally to the article. The maximum combined fractional count for any article is 1.0.

爲了分數式計量，設定所有作者對論文的貢獻相同。所有文章的分數式計量總分值都是1.0。

The 2017 fractional count for Beijing reached 2,143.53, topping the list.

北京在2017年的這一分數達到了2143.53，位居榜首。

The table accompanying the list also shows that authors in Beijing produced 4,396 articles in 82 high-quality research journals and accounted for 23.5 percent of the papers published by China on these journals.

該榜單的附表還顯示，來自北京的作者在82種高質量研究期刊上發表了4396篇文章，佔中國在這些期刊上發表論文總數的23.5%。

However, other Chinese cities -- like Nanjing at 12th place, Wuhan at 19th and Guangzhou at 25th -- are rising rapidly in scientific research, resulting in the declining share of Beijing in China's output for six consecutive years.

不過，中國其他城市--比如排名第12位的南京、排名第19位的武漢、排名第25位的廣州--在科研方面的排名迅速上升，導致北京在中國總分中所佔的份額連續6年下降。

Shanghai at seventh is the other Chinese city among the top 10. Hong Kong, Hefei, Hangzhou, Tianjin and Changchun were also ranked between the 21st to 50th places.

上海是中國另外一個躋身前10名的城市，排名第七。香港、合肥、杭州、天津和長春也排分別在第21位到第50位之間。
