希拉里赴晚會遇車禍 所幸並未受傷

A secret service van carrying former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton smashed into a cement pole in New Jersey last Monday.

上週一，一輛載有美國前國務卿和民主黨總統候選人希拉里·克林頓的特勤局面包車，在新澤西州撞上了一根水泥柱子。

Clinton was arriving at a fundraising event for Senator Bob Menendez, the incumbent seeking re-election for one of New Jersey's US Senate seats.

事發時，希拉里即將抵達新澤西州參議員鮑勃·梅內德斯的籌款活動現場。梅內德斯正尋求連任新澤西州的參議員。

The driver was trying to make a left-hand turn when the vehicle crashed right into the pole.

駕駛該面包車的司機當時想左轉，車輛卻撞上了這根柱子。

Clinton did not appear to be harmed as she stepped out of the vehicle following the crash, seen in video footage posted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The van was seen pulling in to the parking garage where the event was held.

Clinton spoke at the fundraiser event for Menendez, who is on the ballot for re-election to his seat in the US Senate, in the upcoming midterm election being held on on November 6.

Menendez faces Republican challenger Bob Hugin and Libertarian challenger Murray Sabrin.
