Indonesian navy divers have retrieved one of the black boxes from crashed AirAsia Flight QZ8501, a development that should help investigators work out why the Airbus A320 fell from the sky on December 28.

The flight data recorder contains detailed information about the aircraft’s operation, while the cockpit voice recorder stores discussions between the pilots and with air traffic control.
飛行數據記錄儀中存儲着飛機在運行的細節信息，而駕駛艙語音記錄儀則存儲着駕駛員之間及駕駛員與空管之間的對話。These devices will be crucial for investigators trying to ascertain what happened to the flight, which vanished from radar amid bad weather midway through a flight from Surabaya, Indonesia’s second city, to Singapore.
