投資失敗! 王健林虧兩億賣西班牙大廈

China's richest man Wang Jianlin has lost up to 200 million yuan from a deal brokered in Spain three years ago because of a shift in exchange rates.

由於匯率變動，中國首富王健林於3年前在西班牙進行的一筆交易中損失高達2億元。

Wanda Hotel Development Company announced last Friday it had sold its stake in Plaza de Espana 19 Development SLU to Spanish property company Baraka Global Invest SLU.

萬達酒店發展有限公司上週五宣佈，已將Plaza de Espana 19 Development SLU(西班牙大廈)的股權出售給了西班牙地產公司Baraka Global Invest SLU。

As a result, shares in the Hong Kong-listed Wanda Hotel Development climbed 1.45% to close at HK$0.7.

當日，在港上市的萬達酒店發展的股價因此上漲1.45%，報收0.7港元。

According to a previous announcement by the company, the sale price was 272 million euros, which was higher than the EUR265m Wanda Hotel Development paid for the Plaza in 2014.

根據萬達酒店發展此前發佈的公告，該大廈的售價爲2.72億歐元，高於萬達酒店發展2014年支付的2.65億歐元的價格。

But because the euro has deprecated since then and the yuan has strengthened in the past few years, the company has lost out on the deal.

但由於歐元此後一路貶值，而人民幣又在過去幾年中走強，因此萬達在這一交易中仍舊是虧損的。

As a landmark in Madrid, Plaza de Espana used to consist of a luxury hotel, a business center and a number of apartments before 2006. But it had been empty until Wanda took control three years ago.

Plaza de Espana曾是馬德里的標誌性建築物，2006年以前，由一家豪華酒店、一處商務中心和多所公寓組成。但3年前萬達接手時，Plaza de Espana已經空置。

After it was snapped up, the company planned to restore the Plaza to its former glory.

萬達收購該廣場後曾計劃重現其往昔的輝煌。

However, a change in attitude of the Spanish government and strong opposition by local residents to restoration work put the plan on ice for at least two years. Eventually, Wanda lost interest in the project.

不過西班牙政府態度的變化及當地居民對修復工作的強烈反對，使這項計劃被擱置了至少兩年。最終，萬達對該項目失去興趣。
