US President Donald Trump said he would be “honoured” to meet the North Korean dictator “under the right circumstances”, amid heightened tensions between the two countries.

美國總統唐納德?特朗普(Donald Trump)表示，“在適當的情況下”，他將“榮幸”地與朝鮮獨裁者金正恩會面。目前美朝兩國緊張升級。

"If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him I would absolutely, I would be honoured to do it," the president told Bloomberg News. "Under the right circumstances I would meet with him."

“如果我與他會面合適的話，我絕對會去做，我將很榮幸這麼做，”特朗普告訴彭博新聞(Bloomberg News)，“在適當的情況下我會與他會面。”

He added: "Most political people would never say that, but I’m telling you under the right circumstances I would meet with him."

Mr Trump then stressed the importance of what he had said, declaring: "We have breaking news."

Meanwhile, his commerce secretary Wilbur Ross attempted to row back Mr Trump’s comments that China’s help on the issue was more important than trade issues between Beijing and Washington.
