大衆和解排放門恐需支付150億美元 銷售額或將下降5%

German carmaker Volkswagen has reportedly reached a $15bn settlement with US car owners after admitting it cheated emission tests.

據報道，德國汽車生產商大衆在承認排放物測試作弊後，花費150億美元與美國車主們達成和解。

The deal would offer to repair or buy back the affected diesel vehicles and pay owners compensation, according to sources close to the talks.

據知情人士透露，根據這項協議，大衆將維修或者回購受影響的柴油車，並賠償車主。

Car owners would still be able to decline the VW offer and sue the firm on their own.

車主們仍有權拒絕大衆給出的報價，並自行起訴。

Last year, US regulators discovered that VW cars were fitted with software that could distort emissions tests. The German giant subsequently said 11 million cars were affected worldwide.

去年，美國監察機構發現了大衆汽車裝有修改排放測試結果的軟件。隨後，這一德國大企業承認全球共有1100萬輛汽車受到影響。

Some models could have been pumping out up to 40 times the legal limit of the pollutant, nitrogen oxide, regulators disclosed.

監察機構披露稱，有些發動機排放的污染物、氮氧化物含量超過法律限定的40倍。

The US settlement is still pending approval by a judge, but it would be the largest car scandal settlement in the country's history.

According to the sources quoted by news agencies, the deal also includes $2.7bn in funds to offset excess diesel emissions and $2bn for research into green energy and environment-friendly cars.

據通信社得到的消息稱，這項協議包含補償尾氣超額排放的27億美元，以及用於綠色能源和環境友好型汽車研究的20億美元。

The increased emissions provision pushed VW to an annual pre-tax loss of 1.3bn euros, compared with a profit of euro 14.7bn the previous year. VW expected group sales to fall by up to 5% in 2016.
