400斤珍稀棱皮龜被廣東漁民殘忍屠殺分食

Shocking footage of a South China fisherman butchering an endangered sea turtle weighing over 200 kilograms as locals clamored to snap up the meat has gone viral on social media.

日前，中國南方一名漁民屠宰一隻體重超過200公斤的瀕危海龜、而當地人都在爭相搶購海龜肉的一則令人觸目驚心的視頻在社交媒體上迅速傳播開來。

The giant leatherback sea turtle was caught off the coast of Xuwen county in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, where fisherman sold off the flesh for 70 yuan ($10) a kilogram.

這隻巨大的棱皮龜是在廣東省湛江市徐聞縣的海邊被捕獲的，漁民將海龜肉以每斤70元（摺合10美元）的價格賣了出去。

Upon hearing news of the rare catch, a crowd soon swarmed to buy a piece of what is considered a regional delicacy.

在聽聞抓住一隻罕見海龜的消息後，人羣很快聚攏了過來並搶購龜肉，他們認爲這是一種難得的美味。

The meat sold out in two hours. It was not yet reported whether wildlife authorities were informed.

海龜肉不到兩小時就被搶購一空了。目前還沒有報道野生動物部門是否知情此事。

Leatherbacks are second-class State-protected Animals in China, where experts say the species is at risk of extinction within 20 years.

棱皮龜是中國國家二級保護動物，專家們表示，這一物種有可能會在20年內滅絕。

According to the Wild Animal Conservation Law, anyone who illegally catches or kills State-protected wildlife can be criminally prosecuted.

根據《野生動物保護法》，任何非法捕獲或者殺死國家保護動物的人都可以被提起刑事訴訟。
