26% of Chinese students from higher educationinstitutions are eager to start businesses in 2017, marking an eight percentage points rise from theprevious year, according to a survey.

一項調查顯示，2017年，我國26%的高校學生渴望創業，比例較前一年提高了8個百分點。

The survey, jointly conducted by over 30 highereducation institutions, enterprises and socialorganizations, covered 52 higher educationinstitutions across the country.

這項調查由30多家教育機構、企業和社會組織共同進行，範圍覆蓋了全國的52所高校。

According to the survey, 22% of the respondents choose to start businesses inaccommodation and catering industry and 19.3% prefer the e-commerce sector.

調查稱，22%的受訪學生選擇在住宿和餐飲行業創業，19.3%的學生則青睞電商領域。

Motivation behind entrepreneurship varies, 31% of them want to pursue a free andindependent job and lifestyle, 18% want to realize their dreams and 10% are seeking soundbusiness opportunities, the survey showed.

調查顯示，受訪學生創業的動機各異，31%的學生想追求自由、獨立的工作和生活方式，18%想實現個人理想，10%則尋求好的商機。

More than 50% of them said funds shortage remains the biggest challenge inentrepreneurship.

過半學生表示，資金短缺仍是他們創業所面臨的最大挑戰。

The survey said higher education institutions should provide more opportunities to fosterentrepreneurship and help develop a financing system for students to start their own business.

該調查指出，高等教育機構應該提供更多的機會來培養創業精神，並幫助建立一個供學生創業的融資體系。

The Ministry of Education said that it would workwith other departments to establish a sound long-term mechanism to prevent sexual harassment atuniversities and colleges, reported.

In early January, a former doctoral student of Chen, Luo Qianqian, posted a weibo articleaccusing him of sexually harassing her and several other students.

She wrote that Chen tried to force himself on her after luring her to his sister's house morethan 10 years ago. She managed to leave the house unharmed after she began crying.

Luo reached out to other victims and formed a WeChat group with them to share theirexperiences and collect evidence before submitting it to the university.
