end常與介詞 at， in, on, by連用，構成不同的用法: at the end of在時間或地點的盡頭 in the end後面不能加 of，表示最後，比如說一件事的最後等 on the end of表示在某個物品的端頭; by the end of不遲於(用於完成時態) ; the end of...表示至……的末端。
