英文中關於catch的幾個表達方式
Catch是抓住，sun 是太陽，但是 catch the sun 可不是“抓住太陽”!那它究竟是什麼意思?catch the sun 不是表示抓住太陽，也不是夸父追日，catch the sun 其實是想表達太陽把你的皮膚曬成略深的棕色或紅色，皮膚被太陽曬黑了。Catch的相關英文表達都知道多少呢?

catch the bus
同樣 catch 還可以表示趕上的意思，常見的便是 catch the bus 意爲抓住公交車，也就是趕上了這趟車。
I have to hurry, I say. I have to catch the bus!
“我在趕時間。我必須趕上公交車!”
After I eat breakfast I'll walk to the bus stop and I'll catch the bus to work.
我吃完早餐後，會步行去公交車站，然後做公交去上班。

catch the light 除了表示捕捉光線的本意外，它還側重表示光的折射，比如當光照在某物上面，會發出閃閃的亮光。

catch someone dead
catch (someone) dead 用來表達內心極其不願做某事，(由於尷尬)死也不肯做某事的意思，也可以說 see (someone) dead：
I wouldn't be caught/seen dead wearing that hideous outfit.
我死也不會穿那難看的套裝。
She won't be caught dead going to the movies with her obnoxious brother.
她死也不肯和她那個招人討厭的哥哥一起去看電影。

make hay while the sun shines
hay是乾草的意思，這個諺語是想說趁有太陽時曬乾草，也就是利用好機會、好條件;抓緊時機;打鐵趁熱。

a place in the sun
這個短語不是真的表達一個有陽光的位置，而是表示一種舒適的狀態;有利地位;優越境況。
He has been struggling to achieve a place in the sun these years.

在太陽底下，用來強調事物數量很大，天下，世上，全世界。
