Shirley: So Josh, where do you come from?
雪莉：喬什，你來自哪裏？Josh: I come from Tacoma.
喬什：我來自塔科馬。Shirley: Tacoma.
雪莉：塔科馬。
Josh: Yeah.
喬什：對。Shirley: I've never heard of that. It's in America, right.
雪莉：我從來沒聽說過這個地方。那是在美國，對吧？Josh: Yes, it's in Washington State, really close to Seattle.
喬什：對，位於華盛頓州，離西雅圖很近。Shirley: Oh, okay, Seattle. I've heard of that. Well, tell me about Tacoma.
雪莉：哦好，西雅圖。我知道西雅圖。給我介紹下塔科馬吧。Josh: Well, Tacoma is smaller than Seattle but it has many great things to do too.
喬什：好，塔科馬比西雅圖小，不過也有很多事情可以做。Shirley: Okay. So give me some examples.
雪莉：好。舉幾個例子吧。Josh: Well, there's a great park right in the center and at that park, there's a botanical garden.
喬什：嗯，市中心有一家非常棒的公園，公園裏有一個植物園。Shirley: Wow. So a little bit like Melbourne, in Australia.
雪莉：哇哦。有點像澳大利亞的墨爾本。Josh: Yeah, it is.
喬什：對，沒錯。Shirley: Okay. What about shopping?
雪莉：好。那購物呢？Josh: Shopping? There's really one place for the best shopping, and that's the Tacoma Mall.
喬什：購物？塔科馬有一個最佳的購物去處，那就是塔科馬購物中心。Shirley: Mall. Hmm, what's a mall?
雪莉：購物中心。嗯，那是什麼？Josh: It's a big indoor shopping center.
喬什：就是大型的室內購物中心。Shirley: Oh, it's all indoor.
雪莉：哦，室內。Josh: Yeah.
喬什：對。Shirley: Wow that must be a really big building.
雪莉：哇哦，那一定是一座大型建築。Josh: It's huge.
喬什：非常大。Shirley: Okay. What kind of shops do they have there?
雪莉：好。那裏都有哪些商店？Josh: Everything. They have lots of clothing shops, and they also have two sport shops and they have a food court where you can buy any kind of food you want.
喬什：應有盡有。那裏有很多服裝店，也有體育用品商店，還有美食廣場，你可以在裏面吃到你想吃的任何食物。Shirley: Wow. Well, that sounds convenient.
雪莉：哇哦。聽起來很方便。Josh: It is.
喬什：是的。Shirley: Okay. Well, how about traveling around the city. What's the public transport system like?
雪莉：好，那在城市裏遊覽呢？公共交通系統怎麼樣？Josh: Mostly, we travel by car. But there's buses too.
喬什：基本上我們都開車出行。當然城市裏也有公交系統。Shirley: Okay. So not so much public transport.
雪莉：好。沒有太多公共交通。Josh: Not really. The buses stop early in the evening.
喬什：不太多。公交車的末班車時間太早了。Shirley: Okay. I see. What about sports because, you know, in Australia, we have lots of places to play to sport. We really like our sport. So what about Tacoma? Are there many places to play sport?
雪莉：好，我知道了。那體育活動呢？像我們澳大利亞有很多地方可以進行體育活動。我們非常喜歡體育運動。那塔科馬呢？進行體育活動的地方多嗎？Josh: Mostly, we have parks that have baseball fields and tracks. And those are the best places. But as far as professional sports, you have to go to Seattle.
喬什：我們的公園都建有棒球場和田徑跑道。這些地方都非常不錯。至於職業運動，那就要去西雅圖了。Shirley: Oh, okay. What about tennis courts?
雪莉：哦，好。那有網球場嗎？Josh: Tennis courts, I think there's one. But it's really expensive.

雪莉：是嗎？Josh: Really.
喬什：對。Shirley: You know, in Australia, we have lots of tennis courts everywhere.
雪莉：澳大利亞有很多網球場，幾乎各個地方都有。Josh: That must nice. I love tennis.
喬什：那一定很棒。我喜歡網球。Shirley: Yeah. It's kind of fun. What about eating in Tacoma because it sounds like it's a little bit of a small town, so is there any good place to go and eat food?
雪莉：對，很有樂趣。那塔科馬的飲食呢？聽起來塔科馬是一座小城鎮，那有沒有美食餐廳？Josh: That's one strong point. There's lots of restaurants. The best restaurant is actually near my house, and it's a barbecue restaurant.
喬什：那是我們的其中一個強項。塔科馬有很多餐廳。最棒的餐廳離我家很近，是家烤肉餐廳。Shirley: Okay, lucky for you.
雪莉：好，你真幸運。Josh: Yeah.
喬什：對啊。Shirley: Tacoma sounds like a nice friendly place to live.
雪莉：聽起來塔科馬是一個適宜居住的地方。Josh: It is.
喬什：沒錯。
