Susan: Did you see that film last night?
Tom: Yes, I did. But I thought it was kind of boring and I'm not sure whether I understood it.
Susan: Really? I disagree. I thought it was very good. and the director had many things to say. Almost everyone else seemed
to like it too. I heard a few people talking afterwards.
Tom: Yeah, maybe they did. But I personally didn't get it and thought there was a lot missing.
Susan: Like what?
Tom: The ending was not very clear. Did the guy get what he really wanted? Or did he get what we thought he deserved?
Susan: I can't give my approval to that. It seems clear to me. He got what was coming to him.
Tom: I don't see that. It was just sort of left out there with no real conclusion.
Susan: We'll have to agree to disagree then.
Tom: Agreed.

1.“Congratulations!”
2.“open-minded”
Our manager became a slave driver during the
rush season.(在旺季的時候,我們的老闆就會變成一位監工。)My boss is a real slave driver.(我的老闆是個不折不扣的奴隸監工。)
4.“come over”的意思是“過來”。

You have a wonderful idea, but have you thougt of it another way?(你的主意很棒,不過你是否想過用另外一種方式來考慮呢?)
Thank you for your invitation, but I have something else to do tonight. (
You did not finish the work when you were supposed to.(你該完成工作的時候卻沒有完成。) Yes, I forgot. I need to make sure I remember it next time(是的,我忘了,下次我一定要記住)。
You are right.I need to allow myself more time next time.(你說得對,我下次得多給自己留出一些時間)。
