Expressing Agreement

Ms. Zhang: Good morning, Mr. Wang.
Mr. Wang: Good morning, Ms. Zhang. I hear you've joined an English debate group. How is it going?
Ms. Zhang: Pretty good. My English speaking is improving and I'm learning a lot. But it might be nice to have someone with
more experience. Maybe you'd like to join our little group?
Mr. Wang: Certainly, provided there's nothing on my schedule. When do you usually meet?
Ms. Zhang: We meet twice a week, Wednesday and Thursday.
Mr. Wang: Wednesday is OK for me, but I don't think I'm free on Thursday. I am free on Monday evenings if your group would
consider a change.
Ms. Zhang: Yes. of course.

1.“English debate group”

He can come with us,provided he pays for his own meals.(如果他能自己出飯費他就可以和我們一起來。)There's no annual fee provided that you use the credit card at least six times a year.(如果你一年能至少使用信用卡六次,就沒有年費。)Provided (that) there is no opposition, we shall hold the meeting here.(倘若無人反對,我們就將在這裏開會。)Provided (that) all is safe. you may go.(假如一切安全,你就可以去。)
3.“twice a week”意思是“一週兩次”,類似的說法還有:once a day(一天一次),three times a month(一個月三次)。four times a year(一年四次)等等。

A: Mr. Smith.
B: Yes?
A: Is this CD yours?
B: Yes.
A: Don't you like pop music?
B: Yes,I do.
A: Can I put it on?
B: Yes.
